THE PROOF
BCC students consistently outperform the national average across every LLQP module. The numbers shown in this section are from our traditional learning management system, sourced from CISRO data covering May 2025 to April 2026.
When we deployed ReadyEngine™ on our Alberta real estate licensing program (opens in a new tab), first-attempt pass rates jumped 15 percentage points and time to complete dropped from 120 days to 36. That's more than three times faster than our traditional learning platform. In financial services, where speed to licensing and true exam readiness are so important, these are outcomes worth paying attention to.
With BCC's LLQP now running on ReadyEngine™, we expect results to move in the same direction.
Please note: These figures reflect results from BCC's traditional learning management system. Source: CISRO Exam Pass Rate at First Attempt by Course Provider, May 2025 to April 2026.
WHY IT MATTERS
OUR CONTENT STANDARD
ReadyEngine™ personalizes your path through the content with the help of AI. It doesn't write it. BCC's LLQP content is built by learning professionals and industry subject-matter experts. It's aligned with the LLQP curriculum and structured to produce real mastery.
Developed by a team of learning professionals and industry subject matter experts with direct experience in Canadian financial services. Every lesson, question, and explanation is grounded in the regulatory environment, the exam expectations, and what it takes to pass.
Every piece is aligned with the LLQP curriculum, weighted by how much each concept is tested, and reviewed for accuracy before it reaches a learner.
Every element is intentional. Concepts are sequenced to build on each other. Questions mirror the difficulty and style of the actual exam. Explanations are designed to close gaps, not just confirm answers. Depth, not volume. Mastery, not memorization.
Three steps to a readiness score you can trust. No guessing. No overstudying. Just a clear path to your provincial licence.
Identify what you already know and where your gaps are before you invest time studying.
Your study path updates continuously based on your performance and the LLQP curriculum.
Your ReadyRating™ tells you when your performance supports booking your licensing exam. When you hit Level 5, the data says go.
EXAMS & LICENSING
Certification exams are included in your enrolment. Each module has its own exam.
Exam Overview:
A course retake is required after four unsuccessful attempts at any module, per CISRO/OCRA regulations.
Passing all certification exams is the first step. After you pass, BCC updates your CIPR record, which enables you to register for your provincial licensing exam. That exam is the final step to practicing as a licensed life and health insurance agent.
We guide you through the licensing application process, including the documentation requirements and next steps with your provincial regulator.
Licensing processFOR FIRMS
Every week an advisor isn't licensed is a week they aren't producing. Most firms manage their licensing pipeline manually: progress check-ins, self-reported confidence, and hoped-for pass rates.
ReadyEngine™ changes that. Every candidate has a live ReadyRating™. You see who's ready to book, who isn't, and where the gaps are, without asking them.
Enterprise solutionsTHE PROOF BEHIND THE PLATFORM
BCC has trained professionals in Canadian financial services since 1997. BCC CIRO Exam Prep runs on ReadyEngine™, We Know Training's readiness platform first deployed in Alberta real estate licensing through Relo.ca, where 97% of learners passed their exams. Now it's live for LLQP.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Life Licence Qualification Program (LLQP) is the mandatory pre-licensing education required to become a licensed life and health insurance agent in Canada. It covers Life Insurance, Accident & Sickness Insurance, Segregated Funds & Annuities, and Ethics and Professional Practice. You must pass the LLQP certification exams before applying for your provincial insurance licence.
Anyone who wants to sell life insurance, health insurance, or segregated funds products in Canada must complete the LLQP. This applies to new entrants to the industry, career changers, and licensed advisors who want to add insurance products to their practice.
You have 12 months from enrolment to complete all modules and certification exams.
The Common Law course is designed for all Canadian provinces except Quebec. The Civil Code (Quebec) course is designed specifically for Quebec's Civil Code legal framework and prepares you for AMF licensing. If you plan to practice in both, you'll need to complete the base course for one jurisdiction and the Ethics & Professional Practice module for the other.
Each student works at a different pace. Some may complete it in a couple of weeks, a few months, or take the whole year.
Office Hours are live, virtual sessions built around your questions. Each LLQP module has its own session, so you join the one that matches what you are studying. Sessions are interactive and student-driven, so study first and bring your questions. After you buy the course with office hours included, you will get details by email on how to register and join each session.
Your certification exams are proctored online. You will need a computer with a working webcam and a built-in or standalone microphone, plus a stable internet connection. Headphones with a built-in microphone are not accepted per exam guidelines. Get your setup ready before exam day.
The ReadyRating™ is a live composite score that runs from 1 to 5 and updates after every study session. At Level 5, the data says you're ready to book your exam. That's also when the Pass Guarantee applies. Sit your certification exam at Level 5 and don't pass? We'll give you a full refund.
The score runs from 1 to 5:
Your ReadyRating reflects demonstrated performance across exam-aligned concepts, not just content completion.
You have access to the LLQP for 1 year. If it expires, you will need to re-enrol in the course and start from the beginning. Previous progress cannot be transferred over.
If you complete your LLQP program before December 7, 2026 you will earn 30 A&S credits and 30 Life credits with AIC. Beyond December 7th 2026, this course will no longer be accredited for CE.
After passing all certification exams, BCC updates your CIPR (Canadian Insurance Participant Registry) record. You then register for and write your provincial licensing exam through the regulator in your province. Once you pass, you apply for your licence through your provincial insurance council or regulator.
You will be able to book your provincial exams after you pass all required certification exams in your course. After completion, it takes about 1 business day to get certified. We will send you an email confirming your certification.
