Important Update: BCC Core & Advanced Curriculum Programs
BCC’s Role Is Changing — But You’re Still Fully Supported
For more than a decade, BCC has proudly delivered Core and Advanced Curriculum programs that fulfill the technical education requirement for the QAFP and CFP designation pathways.
This year, as FP Canada continues its shift to a more centralized delivery model for technical education, BCC will conclude its role as an approved provider of these programs on August 29, 2025.
Though our role in delivering these programs is changing, BCC supports FP Canada’s efforts to evolve and elevate the financial planning profession, and we remain fully invested in supporting students on their certification pathways.
Transition Timeline – What Happens When
We are working closely with FP Canada to ensure all currently enrolled learners are fully supported throughout this transition.
Key dates include:
- April 30, 2025: Final day for new enrollments in BCC’s Core and Advanced Curriculum programs.
- May 1 to August 28, 2025: Enrolled learners can continue their studies with BCC, with full access to all course materials and support services.
- August 29, 2025: BCC’s FP Canada accreditation concludes. All learners must either complete their program with BCC by this date or transition their coursework to FP Canada to continue their studies.
What This Means for BCC Students
This transition doesn’t change your designation goals, it only influences where you may complete your technical education. Every student’s situation is a little different, and we’re here to make sure your path forward is as smooth as possible.
Depending on your progress and personal goals, you may choose to:
- Finish fully with BCC before August 29
- Complete part with BCC, then finish with FP Canada
- Begin studying with FP Canada now and complete your program there
Whatever path you choose, BCC will help you by:
- Assessing your current progress and next steps
- Optimizing transfer equivalencies with the work you’ve already completed
- Accessing your transcript and any related course documentation
- Submitting transfer requests to FP Canada on your behalf
- In most cases, facilitating transfers at no cost to you*
*Final approval is at FP Canada’s discretion, but we’ll manage the process and provide all required documentation to help ensure the smoothest possible transition.

When You Reach the Finish Line — We’ll Be There

Prepare for Exam Success with BCC
BCC has helped thousands of students prepare for the QAFP and CFP exams — and our prep programs are nationally recognized for their effectiveness. On the most recent CFP exam, all four students named to the FP Canada President’s List were BCC students, and three of them trained with our exam prep.
